At Masa Tool no machine is put into production without a thorough calibration and extensive customization. Here our cofounder and master of precision Dragan Marjanovic personally inspects a newly reconditioned grinding machine.

Masa Tool's Microconic cartridge is made of exotic high-chromium tool steel, triple tempered and cryogenically treated to provide stable construction. All functional seating surfaces are ground with extreme precision on a one-piece, ultra-rigid body structure.

“The cartridge can be used as a calibration gage to verify the machine spindle accuracy,” Co-owner Chip Prescott notes.

Microconic collets are finished to exacting standards with a five-step grinding process that removes the effect of heat-treat warpage. Also, the proprietary Microconic form of the closure surfaces is inherently more accurate than traditional collets, providing for a greater full-accuracy working range.

Cartridges are available to fit in push-type dead-length collet closers and also draw-type closers: F20M10 (for TF20 collet replacement), F25M10 (for TF25 collet replacement), and 5CM10 (for 5C collet replacement). All of these cartridges use the same Microconic UM10 collets, with more cartridge sizes in development to be released soon.

We're starting to settle into our new facility! Everyone is very excited about the amount of space that we now have and it's really been a big morale boost, as if we weren't already excited!

We've already started our planning for the IMTS Show In Chicago next September and we've finalized our new product development schedule to round out our Microconic system offering.

Masa Tool Moves into New Oceanside Location!

Masa Tool moved into it's new manufacturing facility in Oceanside, CA, located midway between Long Beach and San Diego to serve our growing customer base with increased production capacity, sales and service, plus an extensive inventory of products. Masa Tool serves the automotive, aerospace, medical, off-highway, rail, energy, woodworking, composites and other industries, as well as an ever-increasing number of CNC machine tool OEM’s worldwide.

We are very excited to announce that we are officially taking up residence in a NEW location in our hometown of Oceanside, California.

Our NEW home is a 9,180 Square foot building on 1/2 acre parcel in the Bristol Business Park which gives us plenty of room to expand in the future but also become much more efficient in our layout for production and inventory control.

The production floor has numerous skylights to let in plenty of natural light which is a great way to keep our employee morale at it's very highest. We've also got a new shipping department area with 2 10x14 roll-up truck doors.

We've now have some room to expand in our 2,604 square foot office area with a dedicated reception area, 9 private offices, a lunch room, 2 restrooms and shower room.

Make plans to visit us in our new conference and training facilities in the future. We're looking forward to being able to go from training room to shop floor to teach our business partners more about the Microconic Workholding system!
